Bagsværd Church:
Jørn Utzon’s architectural design of the gallery in Bagsværd Church includes skylights with a view of the sky in the full width of the gallery. The perfect place to present Trolle’s site-specific exhibition and edition of the textile artwork ‘Atlas of the Blue of the Sky’, which is based on her documentation and interpretation of the sky. Helle Rude Trolle registered the colours of the sky at the same time every day for a year and interpreted the countless shades of blue in print and textile. The exhibits were created specially for the church architecture and enter into a dialogue with the beautiful narrow space of the gallery. The duo Wednesday Architecture designed site-specific furniture, which adds another layer to the dialogue between spatiality, furniture, works of art and sky – a conversation about colour, tactility and visual perception.

The pieces were created at the Danish Art Workshops in spring 2020.
